Sprint Tool & Die Ltd History
Sprint Tool and Die was set up in 1989, in a small industrial unit in Telford, by Ian Amos. He had served his apprenticeship with a large die-cast toolmaking operation in Wolverhampton and moved on to a producer of high quality plastic injection mould tools in Walsall, where he worked his way up to Toolroom Manager.
Ian identified a niche market in the Telford area and set about providing the service to fulful that gap.
Within 10 weeks, the demand for Ian's service and knowledge had grown to the extent that he could no longer cope on his own and he enlisted the help of his brother, who, likewise, had worked for a variety of West Midlands based companies, producing tools and dies. The company continued to grow and moved several times within Telford, before finally securing a unit within Telford's prestigious Horton Court, in 1994.
